Lake Berryessa and Lake Hennessey CA

April 16, 2013 Tue
I have been staying at Canyon Creek Campground for nearly two weeks now. During that time I have visited Lake Berryessa http://www.recreation.gov/recAreaDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&recAreaId=17&agencyCode=129
and Lake Hennesseyhttp://www.yelp.com/biz/lake-hennessey-city-recreation-area-rutherford.
I have found a few birds at each place and even had a two second glimpse of a Bobcat. That is always a treat. Last week my RV group lost a member and dear friend to cancer. I also learned another close friend has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Yesterday I watched, with the rest of the world, the horrific scenes from the Boston Marathon bombings. I am once again reminded of how blessed my life is even though this 18’ box I live in sometimes seems a bit snug.
Getting out in nature and enjoying the wildlife I encounter helps me stay grounded. Maybe these photos can bring a little joy into your lives.
