Today I drove over to the Vic Fazio Yolo Wildlife Area just west of Sacramento. This is Presidents weekend and the driving tour was busy. I didn't get there till almost noon and the light was not optimum. I stayed till the light improved and most of the visitors had left and managed to grab a couple of shots.

Went out to Vic Fazio Wildlife Area and was trying to identify a bird. It was a Whimbrel. I was very close, probably about 15 feet. It caught a small fish (at least thats what it looked like (very small0). Great pics of the birds...wish I could take pics like that, maybe in another lifetime when I have more time.
